Encouraging low impact transportation choices
Transportation makes up a significant portion of Nelson’s Green House Gas emissions. We want to help make it easier for our community to know about and use the low impact transportation options that already exist… because there are several great choices that are fun, affordable and easy!
We are working on developing an interactive map that brings together the information that is already available to help everyone in our community easily see and plan better ways of getting around our city and local area. By consolidating the various information into a user-friendly map, we hope our neighbours will discover cycling, bus, shuttle, or carshare options that they did not realize were so readily available to them.
Low impact transportation solutions do exist… let’s make it easy for our community to choose low impact.
